The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), is organizing a 1(one) day City level Workshop on ANGIKAAR “A Campaign for Change Management under Pradhan Mantri Housing Yojana” Housing for all, Urban under the initiative of Municipal Affairs Department, Government of Nagaland at Hotel SILHOUETTE, located at kalibari Road Dimapur on 16th Sept’2019, (Monday) at 11:00 AM.

Hence all representative of Colony Council & GB’s (Urban) are requested to attend the said workshop.

Notification on Idol Immersion during Puja Season

NOTIFICATION

In pursuance of the directives as issued bt the Central Control Board (CPCB) with regards to Idol immersion during celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi & Durga Puja during the month of September & October every year, which lead to deterioration of water quality especially during the aforesaid months which is a matter of concern. In this regard, all concerned stake holders are directed to effectively follow the following Guidelines for Idol immersion.

  1. Use of Eco-Friendly Idols with herbal colours or biodegradable chemical dyes.
  2. Immersion of Idols only at designated idol immersion spots
  3. Prohibition of burning of Solid Waste at the Idols Immersion areas.
  4. Arrangement for construction of temporary confined ponds with necessary provisions.
  5. Organization mass awareness campaign among the stakeholders etc.

ORDER

In continuation of this Office earlier order No.DMC/ G-10/2017-18/303-306 Dtd. Dimapur the 26th April 2019, regarding Mass Social Work for clearing and removal of stagnant water under DMC jurisdiction, the Agarwal Mahasabha is going for intensive Fogging Drive from 25th Aug’ till 3rd September in and around Dimapur Town to control outbreak of Dengue and Japanese Encephalitis. In this regard it is to inform all the public/citizens under Dimapur Municipality to maintain cleanliness and clear any stagnant water to prevent mosquito Breeding.

Two Days Capacity Building Workshop on Six Waste Management Rules, 2016-National Productivity Council

The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEF & CC), Government of India has notified Six Waste Management Rules in year 2016. These are.

1. Plastic Waste Management Rules 2016
2. E-waste (Management) Rules, 2016
3. Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016
4. Construction and Demolition Waste Management Rules, 2016
5. Hazardous and Others Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement)Rules, 2016
6. Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.

In order to ensure affective implementation of these rules, the MoEF & CC along with National Productivity Council (NPC) is organizing two days workshops in 20 (Twenty) Cities of India.

NPC, an autonomous body under Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, is serving as National Programme Coordinator for the said Capacity Building Project on Six Waste Management Rules (2016). The Capacity Building Project seeks to strengthen institutional capacities at ULBS and amongst stakeholder towards collection, treatment, disposal and efficient management of various types and categories of wastes, promote 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) initiatives and dissemination of good practices and facilitate integrated efforts towards achieving improvement in general health of city environment etc.

Dimapur has been selected as one of the cities under this program, which is begin organized along with Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC). The two days workshop in Dimapur during 17th & 18th July’2019 at Hotel Acacia will enable various stakeholders to implement the Waste Management Rules and in performing duties towards achieving the goals of Swachh Bharat Mission of Government of India.

The invited participants are requested to attend the workshop.

NOTICE: 25th June 2019

NOTICE

In continuation to this Office Order No. DMC/G-10/2005-06/3434-437 Dtd. Dimapur the 28th March 2019. All the Residents, Shopkeepers, Bussiness Establishment are once again reminded that burning of Garbage/Waste is totally ban/prohibited in DMC jurisdiction.

Therefore, all concerned are informed not to burn any garbage/waste, anyone violating this order shall be penalized with fine and other legal action as per provision of law.

ORDER – 21st June 2019

ORDER

In pursuance of the State Government notification as published in the Nagaland Gazette vide No. UDD/7-GEN/07-PWM/2018, Kohima the 17th June 2019, imposing total ban on all Single Use Plastic in Nagaland with a view to eradicate the Plastic and Serious environment & Ecological Challenges passed by rampant use of Plastics, the sale and use of following single use Plastic products shall be totally banned in DMC jurisdiction w.e.f 17th Sept’ 2019

  1. All plastic carry bags, with or without handles, irrespective of thickness and size.
  2. Plastic Cutlery including plates, Plastic Cups, Straws, Stirrers etc.
  3. Cutlery and other decorative made of Styrofoam (Thermocol).
  4. Polythene.
  5. Nylon
  6. Poly-Vinyl- Carbohydrates (P.V.C)
  7. Poly-Propylene and
  8. Poly-Styrene.

Any individual, Institution/Commercial establishment (Educational Institutions, Offices, Hotels, Shops, Restaurants, Religious Institutions, Industries, Business Establishments, Shop Keepers, Banquet Halls etc.), shall abide by the aforesaid total ban and any breech of law shall be liable for penalties upto ? 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) only.

However, with a view to dispose off the Old Stock and to avoid Financial loss of the Dealers/ Stockiest/ Manufacturers/ Industries/ Business Establishments/ Shop Keepers, 3 (Three) months time is given w.e.f 17th June 2019, from the date of gazette notification, which shall expire on 16th Sept’ 2019

ORDER – 26th April 2019

In view of the starting of the transmission period for Vector Borne Disease (Malaria, Dengue and Japanese Encephalitis), it is hereby informed to all the citizens under Dimapur Municipality that starting this month every Saturday, 7:00 Am to 8:00 Am there will be mass social work for removal of stagnant water in respective households. Therefore, all residents of Dimapur Municipal area are informed to completely remove/drain stagnant water within their respective house compounds from household Utensils, Flowerpots, Drains etc and the colony Chairman/GB’s are informed to monitor the social work

The Colony Chairman/GB’s are hereby authorized to impose a fine of Rs 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) only if they find any household with stagnant water within their compound
