This is to draw the attention of all the Traders/Shop owners under the jurisdiction of DMC not to indulge in any unfair/illegal/unethical practices whatsoever such as hoarding or unauthorized increase in prices of commodities taking undue advantage of the impending COVID-19 situation in the State. Further they are to strictly adhere to the SOPs and other directives issued by competent authority.

In view of the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country and the impending threat to Nagaland particularly Dimapur, all the traders/business houses, shop keepers are requested to strictly comply with COVID-19 related SOP by wearing face mask, keep/use hand sanitizers and maintaining adequate physical distance inside the shop. The public in general is also requested to maintain COVID appropriate behavior in public places and keep our state free from COVID pandemic.

This is to inform all the Chairmen/GB’s and Sanitation Committee within Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) jurisdiction, that there will be an awareness programme under National Clean Air programme 2020-2021 at Town Hall on the 9th of April 2021, at 11 A.M.

Therefore, all concerned are hereby requested to attend the programme without fail.

Press Release – 12th November 2020

The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Market Rate Control Cell has conducted a surprise checking of all the butchers under DMC jurisdiction, on 12th Nov’2020. During the checking the officials on duty has found that some of the butchers were selling the meat above the DMC prescribed rate.

In this connection, the following butchers were caught and imposed penalty with fine and further necessary action. Hence, all the butchers are once again informed directed to sell the meat at the prescribed rate as fixed by this office.

NOTIFICATION

 

Whereas, it has been observed that many shopkeepers/traders/business establishment under DMC jurisdiction are in practice of carrying out their business without renewing/obtaining trade license, which is a complete violation of rules under Section 396 of Nagaland Municipal Act 2001.

Hence, all the traders/shopkeepers/ business establishments who have not yet renewed or obtained License are hereby asked to renew/obtain their respective License from this office within 8th Oct 2020 positively.

Failure to comply with this notification will invite penalty with fine and other legal course of action as per provision of law.
